NEWS DU 12/05/05
SIX FEET UNDER update from Chris Barnes!
Hey just wanted to say what’s up to everyone and let you all know what’s comin’ up...we’re currently rehearsing here in Tampa, for the upcoming No Mercy fests, and really lookin’ forward to that. We’re psyched to play a few of the new songs from 13, which will be released on March 21st. I have been listening to this CD at least 4 times a day since we completed it and I am now convinced that it is our Reign in Blood as in this is our best CD to date. I in no way, shape, or form mean to suggest that 13 is better than, sounds like, be as ground breaking, or will be remembered with as much regard in the history of metal as Reign in Blood. To clarify for those of you who don’t get it, and for those of you who are quick to dismiss us, let me break it down once again... in my opinion this is our best most exciting work since Maximum Violence and I am thoroughly excited and proud of what we did on this CD and to those who doubt us, you would doubt us no matter what, and to our fans -you wont be disappointed. The proof is in the pudding and pretty soon… you’ll be face first in it. It’s fucking insane -believe it. The video for Shadow of the Reaper is currently in the editing process with director Gary Smithson at the controls. We’ll have a rough here in the next week or 2. It was definitely the most professional video shoot we’ve ever been involved with so look out for that its gonna be vicious. Another thing that’s being worked on is a complete reworking of our website. All fans are urged to send any live pics or bootleg video of the band for use on the site should do so through our website...some of the photos and footage may just end up in an upcoming special release, but more on that in a few months...and I just want to also put a special shout out and best wishes to a true fan of Six Feet Under, Kyle McCall, who is ill in intensive care with cystic fibrosis. We wish you well brother and hope for the best. Take care and see you all soon! –barnes

THE RED CHORD another studio update!
We know it's been a long time but the record is finally done. Thank you all for being so patient. Artwork is being handled by Paul Romano (Mastodon, Nasum) and the record will hit stores on May 16th.
We're extremely excited to see how everyone is going to react to the Clients disc. We'll be putting up a new track in the upcoming weeks and possibly recording a video for the track 'Lay the Tarp' sometime in Feb/March. It's a very different album than Fused Together in Revolving Doors. I personally think it's a lot heavier and angrier, but we'll let you judge for yourself. Thanks to Zeuss for pushing us in the studio and extra special thanks to Nate from Premonitions of War/Dead Water Drowning for coming out and doing some guest vocals.
In March we will be doing a short run of the Northeast and shortly after that heading over to Japan for a festival. Then on April 1st we will be embarking on our 2 month run with Bury Your Dead, A Life Once Lost and If Hope Dies across the US and Canada. Check out some dates in the tour section.
We are going to start working on a new site very soon. We will be putting up a new web store with access to pay pal and all that junk. Shirts have been pretty much sold out for now.

NEAERA re-launch website !
Hey people! The new site is finally online (built by http://www.grinddesign.de)! Quite a lot has happened during our time of “absence” from the web, so to keep you all informed, we have a little news update for you...
But first we wanna say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us on whichever way on our Austria tour! Thanks so much to all the people who attended our shows, the bands we played with and to the people who organized the concerts, especially Flo, Chris, Geri and Pat of Burning Season Records and Manuel. We are really grateful for the whole experience, it was simply awesome and we'll be back!
Some very special thanks go out to our brothers of DEVIL ATE MY SON, whom we had the privilege of playing with. If you like metal and you haven't checked them out yet, you better make pretty danm sure you do, because not only are they a very special and awesome bunch of people, but they also kick some SERIOUS ASS!!!
Another big thank you goes out to everybody who attended our show at the Tommy-Weißbecker-Haus in Berlin; you guys really made that place burn! Thanks also to Justin and Adam of GRAF ORLOCK and to Thomas Respondek for organizing the whole thing.
Our debut album is now ready, and we are more than satisfied with the final result. Thanks to Mr. Andy Classen for everything, but most of all for the patience he had with us! We hope all of you are going to enjoy the record. “The Rising Tide of Oblivion” will be available from the 21st of March at your local metal dealer! To give you a little foretaste of what you can expect, we have put one track, “The World Devourers” http://www.neaera.com/media/neaera_theworlddevourers.mp3 , in the media section for you to check out.
It was a bit difficult to choose one song to “represent” the whole album, especially because the other twelve tracks are all very different from each other. The track we chose has a little bit of everything in it, so we
thought it comes closest of all to giving a kind of “overview” of the record...but you’re going to be able to make up your own minds pretty soon! We have some more shows planned; we will definitely keep you updated on those! Metal!!!!
